James E. Lafferty officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Crook died Wednesday, Nov. 6, in a Cameron nursing facility. She was born Oct. 31, 1912, in Cameron to Samuel Clark and Maybell Williams Cobb. She married Elliott Crook on June 23, 1932, and he preceded her in death after 69 years of marriage on Nov. 25, 2001. Mrs. Crook retired from Southwestern Bell after 38 years of employment. She had also worked for L&M Jewelry in Cameron after her retirement. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Cameron, a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Rockdale Chapter No. 23 and a member of the Porcelain Art/China Painting Guild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. Survivors are a daughter, Carol Ann Litzman and husband Ron of Houston; a sister, Mabel Lawhon of Minerva; two grandchildren, Jolene Marie Litzman and Scott Elliott Litzman; also, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
