V. Hefley land about 3-miles north of Cameron. A German, Vince Nowvra, attempted to saw down a tree and the tree split and bent over to the ground, his little daughter Mary Nowvra, age 4, was with him. The little girl climbed upon the sawed stump and was caught in the clasp and bruised. Dr. Jessie Cass was sent for but treatment failed to save the child who was injured about her neck and head. After hours of suffering she died that nigh at 11:30 p.m. and was buried Sunday in the Catholic Cemetery at Cameron.
