James Davis of Rising Star Baptist Church, Rockdale, officiating. There will be no viewing after sermon. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. She died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002 at Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale. Visitation time will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2002 at the Jackson Mortuary Chapel in Cameron and Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002 10-11 a.m. at Allen AME Church in Rockdale. Mrs. Pierce was a housekeeper. Surviving are: Two sisters, Ruby Banks and Jessie Denmon of Rockdale; two nieces, Bertha Cline (Edward) of Houston and Thelma Wright (Leroy) of Charlotte, NC; nephew, Henry Hollis (Lillian) of Houston; and a host of great-great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Rodney Cline, Henry Hollis Jr., Dennis Mason, Boris Jumper, and great-great nephews Edward McGruder and Todd McArthur.
