F. Smith farm on the river below Cameron, shot his wife with a shotgun, killing her almost instantly. Deputy Boles was sent and he found the alleged murderer but King escaped in a thicket. The next day, bloodhounds were brought from the State Farm in Beat 7 and Massengale found King and placed him under arrest and he is lodged in the Cameron Jail.
