Hood, age 52, died at his home in Cameron last Friday morning. He had a chill on Monday before and since had been confined to his bed. He had two congestive chills and the last one being on Thursday night and from which he never rallied. He came to Cameron as a mere boy and was engaged in merchandising, his partner being the late David Meyers, one of the first settlers in Cameron. He had been retired and served for several terms on the school board and served as its secretary. Survivors: wife and several children. He was buried in Oak Hill cemetery last Saturday at 10 a.m.
