He was justice of the peace for Milam County from 1843-1845 and I believe he died on 18 February 1846 in Nashville, Milam County. Also his wife Lucy Chalmers nee Spooner who I believe died 20 November 1859. Any help would be appreciated! Have found loads of useful information on John Chalmers on this site as he was one of the first settlers in 1835. Many thanks
