We have added a number of photographs for Milam County cemeteries on-line at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tx/milam/cemetery.htm I would like to say thanks the many volunteers who have submitted these photos ... - - - - - If you have any Milam County gravemarker photographs, please share them so that we can place them on-line ... - - - - - If you are going to be taking photographs for submission, please remember: 1) remove flowers, etc. from in-front of the marker before taking the photo ... if the flowers, etc., block the information, dates, names, etc. the photo doesn't do anyone any good ... 2) clean the marker, remove dirt, mold, etc. (use only clear water, no soap to clean) 3) do not stand 30 feet away, get as close as possible to get clearly readable print, if you cannot get readable in one photo, take several phots in sections ... It doesn't do any good to submit photos that cannot be read or so dirty you cannot make out any information ... also, these types of dirty photos do not document your family tree research ... if you are going to cemetery, be sure and take along several gallons of water and soft brush and garden tool (to remove dirt / grass from sunken markers) ...
