Brockenbush, 92, of Rockdale died Friday, April 29, 2005 in the Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale with Rev. Lee Eschenburger of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. Burial followed in the Sharp Cemetery in Sharp. Mr. Brockenbush, farmer, was born Jan. 10, 1913 in the Bushdale Community near Rockdale to George J. Brockenbush and Mattie G. (Timmerman) Brockenbush. He married Alice L. Rinn on Sept. 25, 1937 in Rockdale. He was a resident of Rockdale since 1991 and formerly of the Sharp Community near Rockdale. Mr. Brockenbush was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice L. Brockenbush on June 17, 2004; parents; two brothers, George Delbert Brockenbush and Albert Brockenbush; sister, Irma Tucker; son-in-law, Troy Lock. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Carolyn Lock of London and Peggy Brockenbush of Victoria; two grandchildren, Charles Lock of London and Becky Lock Eppler and husband James of London; great grandchildren, Kenneth and Jessie Lock; sister-in-law, Irene Brockenbush of Alvin; brother-in-law, Paul Green of Austin. Pallbearers were Billy Tucker, Bobby Green, Ted Harydzak, Doug Green, Billy Spiegel and Art Rinn. Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Henson, Albert Timmerman Jr., Henry Abel, Leon Hammett and Sergio Ibarra.
