Mr Coker died Saturday, July 13 at a Waco Hospital. He was a Waco resident. He was born Feb 1, 1918 in Prairie Hill. He joined the US Navy on June 6, 1939 and served on the USS Detroit during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He was discharged in 1945. He retired after 20 years with Arizona Public Service. He was an active member in the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. Mr. Coker is survived by a son, Robert L. Coker of Rockdale; two sisters, Jewel Ferguson and Bobbie Jansky, both of Waco; and two grandchildren. BrookView Funeral Home - Waco.
