Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Monday, May 2 at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Larry Caldwell officiating. Mr. Clay, retired cook, was born Jan. 12, 1942 in Liberty Hill. Survivors include former wife, Viola Clay of Taylor; step-daughter, Beverly (Desmond Sr.) Aldridge of Taylor; step-grandson, Desmond Aldridge Jr. of Taylor; a host of cousins including Earnestine Cook of Thorndale, nieces, nephews and many friends. Pallbearers were Cecil Cook, Harvey Deary, Calvin Mitchell, Richard Cook, Harry Campbell and Tony Brooks.
