Services are pending with Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. = = = = = Rockdale Reporter, Thur., 18 July 1996 Funeral services for Gertrude Coldiron, 92, were held Friday, July 12, 1996 at 10 a.m. in the Apostolic Faith Church in Rockdale with burial in San Grove Cemetery near Milano. Rev. Edwin Waterbury and Rev. Calvin Springer officiated. Mrs. Coldiron died Tuesday, July 9 in Richards Memorial Hospital. She was a life long Rockdale resident. She was born Nov. 18, 1903 in Marble Falls to Lawrence and Alice (Foster) Baccus. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Apostolic Faith Church in Rockdale. She married Elton Burton “ E. B.”Coldiron on March 27, 1921 in Tanglewood. Mrs. Coldiron was preceded in death by her husband on March 20, 1990; three daughters, Alpha Tyler, Ludy Coldiron, and Irma Coldiron; and three sons, Vernon Coldiron, Troy Coldiron and Marvin Coldiron. She is survived by a daughter, Ava Perrin of Rockdale; a brother, Oran Baccus of Houston; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Pallbearers were Bob Ressel, Warren Haney, Ray Lewis, Woody Dodd, Jerry Hosek, and Robert Flores. Phillips & Luckey - Rockdale.
