Baldwin, 87, of Rockdale died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at his home. Interment was held 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, at Pierson Township Cemetery in Michigan. He was born Oct. 25, 1917 in Sand Lake, MI, to Milford E. and Goldie M. (Bradley) Baldwin. Mr. Baldwin, a self employed farmer, married Odessa E. Gilliland on Aug. 6, 1939 in Pierson, MI. He was an U.S. Army veteran during World War II and also member of the Disabled Americans Veterans Association. Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by his parents; son, Furl Louis Baldwin; brother, Eli Baldwin and granddaughter, Sherry Nevins. Survivors include his wife of 65 1/2 years, Odessa E. (Gilliland) Baldwin of Rockdale; three sons, Bertun D. Baldwin and wife Mila of Lansing, MI, Delmar J. Baldwin and wife Jean of Mechanicville, NY and Charles L. Baldwin and wife Darlene of Niles, MI; daughter, Arlene K. Baldwin of Grand Ledge, MI; sister, Elma Wilson of Lakeview, MI; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Organization.
