Was he the son of William Monroe Rhodes. I have seen that family on the 1880 Lee County Texas census. William Monroe Rhodes married my great grandmother Emma D. Yarbrough. Her first marriage was to George Kite. Seems like you and I have e-mailed before but would have to check my notes. If this is the same family do you know who Tilman's mother was and when she died?
