Mr. Plantt died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at a Temple hospital. A resident of Rockdale for 8-years, he was formerly of El Paso. He was born March 28, 1922, in Angleton to Morgan Plantt and Letha Townsend. He married Rose McCormick in 1977 in El Paso. Mr. Plantt was a barber inspector for the State of Texas. He was a member of Forest Grove Christian Church at Forest Grove. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Rose Plantt, on April 7, 1992; a daughter, Jeanette Plantt; a sister, Laverne Byrd; and five brothers, Ralph Plant, Pete Don Plant, Spence Blackwood, Obia Blackwood and Henry Lee Sims. Survivors are a son, Ricki Plantt and wife Billie of Odessa; a daughter, Sherry Landgraf and husband Carter Eiben of Odessa; three sisters, Dorothy Farmer of Houston, Billie Joyce Pearson of West Lake, LA, and Betty Lois Reeves of Rockdale; also, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
