Tom Hanus officiating. Burial followed in St. Monica’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Mrs. Tomek died Friday, Oct. 3, in a Rockdale nursing facility. She was born July 28, 1926, to Joseph and Julia Pustejovsky Bartek in Cameron. Mrs. Tomek worked as bookkeeper/secretary for Central Freight Lines, as well as working at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Killeen and later for the Cameron Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church and KJT No. 39. Mrs. Tomek was also member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors are her husband, Charlie Tomek of Cameron; two daughters, Colleen Provasek and husband Ernie of Livingston and Judy Pilotte and husband David of Plano; three sisters, Viola Sevcik of Buckholts, Margie Vaculin and Jo Ann Zarosky of Cameron; and two grandchildren, Susan and Jared Provasek.
