Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, at All Saint's Episcopal Church with burial following at the Liberty Cemetery. Rev. Don Legge will be officiating. Mrs. Summers, a retired teacher, was born February 12, 1919 to John and Katherine Adams Brown in the Philippine Islands. She married Frank Randolph Summers on November 20, 1941. She began her career in the Alief ISD and then taught in the Fort Bend ISD specializing in Special Education. Mrs. Summers later moved to the Liberty community where she taught homebound students for Cameron and Rockdale schools. She was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, the Milam County Retired Teachers Association and the Central Texas Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Randolph Summers in April 1980. Mrs. Summers is survived by: 1 Son, Frank R. Summers of the Liberty community; 3 Daughters, Melinda Meyer of Houston, Katherine Ruffin of Houston, and Charlie Ann Sauls of Porter; 1 Brother, John William Brown of Cadiz, Spain; 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
