Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial was held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at the City Cemetery in Lexington. He was born on Feb. 4, 1940 in Lexington to Talbert H. and Jessie Robbins. Mr. Robbins spent his life loving and taking care of his family and putting their needs first. His was a personality of patience, love and kindness. He retired from Superior Electric after 40-1/2 years, and worked for Reynolds Company from 2002-03. Mr. Robbins enjoyed woodworking. His father, Talbert H. Robbins preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Sheri Robbins of Odessa; mother, Jessie Robbins of Lexington; children, Donna Collins and husband Jerry of Arlington, Debbie Boyles and husband Tim of Gardendale, Sharon Duggan and husband Carl of Kemah, Patty Davis of Springfield, MO, Ken Davis of Odessa, Sheri Robertson and husband Alan of Odessa, Vivian Paton and husband Sam of Naples, FL, Steve Davis, Mike Davis of San Antonio, Kathy Horton and husband Lynn of Odessa; sisters, Laverne Martin and husband Randal, Vera Mae Stamport and husband Buddy, Shirley Stamport and husband Charlie, Francis Shelton and husband Willie, all of Lexington; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House Foundation.
