Sobeck, 90, of Rockdale died Wednesday, April 20, 2005. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Gary Maroney officiating. Interment followed at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park. Mrs. Sobeck and her husband, Vernon were long time residents of Austin where she was a full time homemaker, a wonderful cook and talented seamstress. She spent many hours in service to her church, Woodlawn Baptist, and in helping those around her who had a need. In later life, Mrs. Sobeck lived with her daughter and son-in-law. They moved to the Rockdale area in 1998. She was a member of First Baptist Church Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Sobeck; brothers, Robert Judd and Ernest Judd. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Webb of Austin and Mrs. Judy Lynch and husband Charles of Rockdale; sister, Mrs. Lucille Lancaster and husband Wilson of Austin; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
