Rackley, 79, of Lexington, formerly of Portland, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at First Christian Church in Lexington with Dr. Greg Nichols officiating. Mr. Rackley died Monday, Feb. 21, at Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale. A Lexington resident since 1989, he was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Corpus Christi to Earl H. and Johnnie (Long) Rackley. He married Lorena Green on June 12, 1949, in Corpus Christi. Mr. Rackley was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He worked as a pumper for Southwestern Oil & Refinery Co. in Corpus Christi for 33 years, the last two years in security. Mr. Rackley was a member of First Christian Church in Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lanelle Rackley. Survivors are his wife, Lorena Rackley of Lexington; two sons, Ray Rackley and wife Becky of Odem, and Wade Rackley of Lexington; four daughters, Leigh Kolacek and husband Sonny of Lexington, Mollie Walker and husband George of Columbus, Elaine Rackley of Kyle and Jenny Turney and husband Terry of San Marcos; a brother, Wilson Rackley of Devine; 11 grandchildren, Bonnie Kolacek, Carl Kolacek, John Kolacek, Stacy Norton, Hunter Rackley, Tucker Rackley, Madison Rackley, Shealynn Redding, Lance Walker, Chase Turney and Chaney Turney; and three great-grandchildren, Savannah Norton, Kaitlyn Norton and Natalee Norton.
