Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak with Rev. Walter Matus and Rev. Chris Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Mrs. Hubnik, a homemaker. She was born Sept. 4, 1914 in Buckholts to Matej and Filomena (Tomek) Sevcik. She was a 1932 graduate of C. H. Yoe High School. She married August A. Hubnik on Nov. 23, 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was a lifelong member of St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and K.J.Z.T. where she served in various capacities and positions. She was preceded in death by sisters, Cecilia Sevcik, Frances Tepera, Annie Schiller and bothers, Frank, Louis and Joe. Survivors include sons Eugene Hubnik and wife Rosie of San Antonio, Steve Hubnik and wife Carolyn of Thrall; daughters Elizabeth Jungmann and husband Arvell of Marak and Catherine (Sister Andrea) Hubnik of Victoria; and brother Anton (Bob) Sevcik and wife Emily of El Campo; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
