Rhodes, 89, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006 in Thorndale. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 at the Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary North Colonial Chapel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with Dr. Marvin Hudson officiating. Burial followed in the Resurrection Memorial in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born April 20, 1917 in Rockport, WV to Gola and Glenna (Gant) O’Brien. She married Robert Rhodes on May 19, 1935 in Cushing, OK and lived in Oklahoma City, OK the past 40 years. She was a 1934 graduate of Oilton High School and was salutatorian. She was also member of New Hope. Mrs. Rhodes was a resident of Oklahoma City, OK for the past 40 years. Mrs. Rhodes, homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Rhodes on May 4, 1995; brother, Frank O’Brien. Survivors include son, Michael Rhodes and wife Eleno Boiko; daughter, Peggy Weise and husband Edward of Thorndale; two grandchildren, Todd Smith and Tonni Talley and husband Kenneth; great-grandson, Kenneth Talley, Jr. Pallbearers included Denning Crowe, Paul Stillwell, Rick Earnest, Don Gross, Taylor Gross and Robert T.
