Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 at Mareks-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. John Kueker officiating. Burial followed in the Corinth Cemetery. Mrs. Svoboda, a homemaker, was born May 28, 1916 in the Bryant Station Community of Milam County to Frank and Louise (Jurca) Zajicek. She married Edward A. Svoboda and he preceded her in death in 1996. Two brothers, Raymond and Albert Zajicek and a sister, Lydia Mewhinney also preceded her in death. Survivors include five brothers, Rudolph Zajicek of Buckholts, Edwin Zajicek of Buckholts, Ben Zajicek and wife Ida of Cameron, Frank Zajicek and wife Connie of San Antonio and Woodrow Zajicek and wife Bette of Lindale; two sisters, Leona Turner of Kerrville and Carol Jean Baggerly and husband Wayne of Waxachachie.
