Burial will be at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Thorndale. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Beran died Friday at Central Texas Hospital in Cameron after a short illness. He worked for Thorndale & Thrall Cotton Gins and was a lifelong resident of Williamson and Milam counties. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sisters, Sophie Hall of Tyler and Frances Biehle of Thorndale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
