Muston, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006 at Veterans Hospital in Temple. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. Aug. 22 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Jack Chelf of First Baptist Church in Rockdale and Rev. Jim Muston of Cordova, TN. Mr. Muston was born Feb. 1, 1927 in Austin to Marion F. Muston and Rosie E. (Morrison) Muston. He married Nannie Fay Muston on May 23, 1947, in Rockdale at the First Baptist Church parsonage. He worked in construction at Alcoa, Rockdale Operations, before retiring in 1989. Mr. Muston was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockdale. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Otis, Amon, Fadie, Claudie and Irvin Muston. Survivors include his wife, Nannie Fay Muston of Rockdale; two sons, Roy Lee Muston and wife Bert of Pasadena and Rev. Jim Muston and wife Sandy of Cordova, TN; three daughters, Juanita Beason and husband Billy of Rockdale, Bonnie Kelley and husband Danny of Rockdale and Kathy Muston of Rockdale; brother, Frank Muston of Rockdale; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers included Caleb Muston, Kendal Beason, Josh Muston, Jason Muston, Kevin Kelley, Aaron Townsend and Seth Rurup.
