Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. William Angel officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Eplen was born Feb. 27, 1924 in McKinney to F. D. and Edna Lewis. She married Morris Eplen on Jan. 6, 1946. Together they owned and operated Eplen Furniture in Cameron. She was an active member of the First Christian Church where she served in many capacities. A brother, Jerry Lewis preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Morris Eplen of Cameron; daughter, Connie Parish and husband Grant of Dallas; brother, Jim F. Lewis of McKinney; two grandchildren, Shane Parish and Jessica Parish.
