T. Whaltey” W. T. Whatley, Jr., 51, former well-known businessman in Cameron, died of a heart attack 11 p.m. Tuesday at this home in Hoyte Community. Funeral services were scheduled 10 a.m. Thursday, (May 19) at Marek-Burns Funeral Home with Mr. Don Fraiser, pastor of the Cameron Church of Christ, officiating. Interment was to be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ima Jean Whatley; his mother, Mrs. W. T. Whatley, Sr., tow sisters, Mrs. h. C. Scherrod, Galveston and Mrs. A. A. Somerville, Cameron. Whatley ran a grocery business in Cameron for many years. He recently had operated the concession center at Alcoa Lake near Rockdale.
