Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington with Rev. Leif Hasskarl and Rev. Wayne Schumpe officiating. Interment was in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. She was born Dec. 18, 1927 to Anna (Behrend) and Rudolph Toepper in Manheim. Mrs. Exner, homemaker, married Walter Exner on May 30, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister. Survivors include her husband, Walter Exner of Lexington; three sons, Rodney and Becky Exner of Lexington, Mickey and Robin Exner of Lexington and Tim and Lisa Exner of Manheim; six grandchildren, Brandon and Amy Exner of Lexington, Dustin Exner of Hutto, Ashley Exner of San Marcos, Matthew Exner of Lexington, Kyle Exner of Manheim and Sloan Exner of Manheim; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Braden Exner of Lexington; compassionate, dedicated caregiver, Georgina Biehle of Lexington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Martin and Dorothy Exner of Lincoln, Monroe Exner of Lincoln, Clarence Exner of Lincoln and Elton and Janeece Exner of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews.
