Crews officiating. A graveside service followed at 4 p.m. at Sandy Creek Cemetery in Milano. Mr. Darden died Sunday, June 12, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Milano. He graduated from Rockdale High School and was retired from Union Carbide after 40 years of service. Mr. Darden was a member of Westhaven Church of Christ. He was a paper carrier for the Galveston Daily News for over 40 years and was a member of the VFW. Mr. Darden proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Darden Sr., and his parents, George and Ivy Darden. Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Tommie Darden of Texas City; four sons, Ronald Darden of Texas City, Klint Darden of Texas City, Henry “Hank” Darden Jr. and wife Karen of Boling, and Kim Darden and wife Rebecca of Santa Fe; a daughter-in-law, Denise Darden of Texas City; a brother, Raymond Darden Sr. and wife Marjorie of La Marque; a sister, Agnes Meier of Rosanky; also, 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Randy Darden Jr., Dan Darden, Keith Darden, Sammy Van Ness, Ryan Darden and Jesse James
