Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 6, at First Baptist Church in Thorndale with Rev. Larry Griffith officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor City Cemetery. Mr. Galbreath was born Aug. 3, 1923 in Thorndale to Claude and Ela (Gilchrist) Galbreath. He married Treila Mae Paris on Jan 4, 1992 at First Baptist Church in Thorndale. He was member of First Baptist Church in Thorndale. In 1975 Mr. Galbreath retired from the potrooms at Alcoa after 24 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Treila Mae Galbreath of Thorndale; son, Tommy Welch and wife Marilyn of Thorndale; daughter, Barbara Scroggins and husband Bobby of Thorndale; six grandchildren, Wynona Schwarz and husband Mike of Thorndale, Rhonda Brown and husband Doug of Pasadena, Tommy Welch Jr. and wife Abbie of Thorndale, Tom Simpson of Harker Heights, Steve Simpson and wife Ashley of Thorndale, Craig Simpson and wife Cara of New Richmond, Ohio; 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tommy Welch Jr., Tom Simpson, Steve Simpson, Dylan Schwarz, Cooper Welch, Mike Schwarz and Doug Brown. Honorary pallbearers included Dan Beason, Newton Butts, Paul Warner, Gordon Dickerson, George Clark, Bob Meaker and Eddie Guy Caffey.
