Gary Maroney officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Schumann was born March 18, 1911 in Appleby and was a retired school teacher. She graduated from Nacogdoches High School and Texas A&I University in Kingsville with a master’s degree in Mathematics. Mrs. Schumann was active in the AARP, Eastern Star #373 in Port Lavaca and the First Baptist Church in Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Schumann. Surviving are: Two sons, Chester Schumann of Cameron and Edward Schumann of The Woodlands; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
