James Diamond of Sulphur Springs officiating. Burial was in Hugh Wilson Cemetery in Tanglewood. She was born July 29, 1918, in Lee County to John Clifford and Mable Cornilus Boswell Corder. She married James Howard Wright on May 18, 1940, in Rockdale. A resident of Tanglewood, Mrs. Wright lived most of her life in Lee County. She also lived in Houston for a short time in the 1940s. She was a homemaker and caregiver, and also worked for Alcoa as a clerk for five years. Mrs. Wright was a member of Forest Grove Christian Church. She served as sexton for the Hugh Wilson Cemetery in Tanglewood for a number of years, and she served as board member and volunteer for Tanglewood Christian Camp. Preceding her in death were her husband, James "Hoss" Wright, on Feb. 10, 1997, and her parents. Survivors are a son, James H. Wright Jr. and wife Barbara of San Leandro, CA; and two grandchildren, Jamie H. Wright III of Austin and Renee Wright of Rockdale. Pallbearers were Clifton Akin, Dylan Akin, Rick Caffey, Barry Lynn, Shelby Stence, Don Smith, James Wright III and David Garrison. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Forest Grove Christian Church. Memorials may be made to Tanglewood Christian Camp or Hugh Wilson Cemetery Association.
