Funeral services were held Aug. 10 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas with Father John Libone. Burial followed in Calvary Hill Mausoleum. Mikulec was born in Cameron on May 18, 1930. He was the owner of the Lovers Lane Barber Shop where he worked for 44 years. He served in the U.S. Army and moved to Dallas in 1958. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, KJZT, SPJST 130, Sokol Zizka, CSA, Knights of Columbus, WFLA and President of the Historical Society of the Catholic Czech Club. Mikulec is survived by his wife of 46 years, Flo Mikulec; son, Jeff Mikulec; daughter, Karen Atkinson; brothers, I.J. "Zink" Mikulec of Cameron and Theodore Mikulec of Marak; and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247 in memory of Norbert "Red" Mikulec.
