Davidson officiating. Mr. Claxton died Saturday, Aug. 10, in Longview. A retired backhoe operator, he was born Sept. 26, 1925, in Milam County to Aubure and Essie E. Williams Claxton. Mr. Claxton served as chaplain of League City and Galveston County Fire Departments. Survivors are a son, Jeff Claxton of Longview; a daughter, Robin Pandolth of Pearland; a brother, Thomas Frank Claxton of New Braunfels; and a sister, Mary K. Rider of Cameron; also, a grandchild.
