Weldon Belew of Rockdale Christian Church officiating. Another memorial service will be held in Hansford County at a later date. Mr. Crawford died Aug. 6, in Rockdale. A resident of Rockdale since 1990 and formerly of Gruver, he was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Spearman to Robert Martin and Lura Belle (Raney) Crawford. He married Ruth Jones on March 20, 1949, in Shamrock. Mr. Crawford was an owner of an auto parts and implements store and a rancher. He was past president of Automotive Wholesalers Association of Texas from 1977-78. He was baptized into First Christian Church in Gruver on Sept. 12, 1953, and was a member of Rockdale Christian Church. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Elsie MeCocq. Survivors are his wife, Ruth Crawford of Rockdale; a son, Jay Crawford and wife Jayne and their son Mickey of Austin; two daughters, Sue Prince and husband Gary and family of Arlington, and Linda Culverson and husband Jim of Yazoo City, MS; two brothers, Mark Crawford and wife Kay of Dumas and Paul Crawford and wife Cleola of Amarillo.
