Burial was in Florida Chapel Cemetery near Round Top. Mrs. Ullrich died Friday, Aug. 9, in Brenham. She was born Aug. 8, 1911, in Warrenton, Fayette County, to Otto and Lena (Heinze) Spies. She was baptized Feb. 18, 1912, and confirmed March 28, 1926, in Warrenton. On Dec. 12, 1934, she was married to Jacob Ullrich Sr. at Waldeck by Pastor Karl Baer. Mrs. Ullrich was a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband on Nov. 23, 1983; an infant daughter; a sister, Selma Spies; son-in-law, John R. Praesel; a great-grandchild, Lauren Buscha; and a daughter-in-law, Marsha Ellis Ullrich. Survivors are sons and daughter-in-law, Lynwood Ullrich and Jacob Ullrich Jr. of Brenham, Ernest and Martha Ullrich of Lexington; daughters and sons-in-law, Aliene and Fritz Finke of Round Top, Katherine and Vernon Wellmann of Brenham, Christine and Edward Buscha of Giddings, Tonetta and James Schlemmer of Rockdale and Birdie and James Kristoff of Rockdale; also, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons Wayne Wellmann, Lynnwood Dale Ullrich, Tim Buscha, Doug Schlemmer, Eric Ullrich, Clayton Ullrich, Wayne Suggs, Steve Foerster, Darren Woodroff, Greg Koehne, Tom Wacker, Charles Alford and Shaun Allred. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters Susan Suggs, Melissa Foerster, Paula Ullrich, Kathy Woodroff, Tammy Alford, Debbie Allred, Becky Koehne, Charlotte Buscha, Nikki Wacker and Lisa Schlemmer. Memorials may be made to Florida Chapel Cemetery or charity of your choice.
