She was born Dec. 31, 1982 in Gonzales County, lived most of her life in the Yarrellton Community of Milam County, was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Church. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, in the North Elm Cemetery near Yarrellton, Rev. Tim Cheatham officiating. Burial followed in North Elm Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband Coley Barrett, in 1946; a son Ed Barrett in 1981; and a grandson, Dana Barrett in 1953. Survivors are two sons, John Barrett of Honey Grove and Barbee Barrett of Cameron; also three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
