Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Gause with Rev. Jonathan Montgomery officiating. Burial followed in the Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Gause. Mr. Lockhart, a United States Army veteran, was born July 11, 1924 in Caldwell. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lockhart of Gause; four step-granddaughters, Lorraine Standiford and husband Ivan of Gause, Kimi Harrison Garcia and husband George of Cypress, Donna Harrison Douglas and husband Alvin of Houston and TeRayshia Drake of Gause; mother-in-law, Newis Standiford of Gause; host of relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Ivan Green, Henry Washington, David Washington, Ronnie Harrison, Eddie Wright and Ronald Moore. Honorary pallbearers included Alvin Douglas, George Garcia, Allen Bullock II and Allen Bullock Sr.
