Funeral services were held July 23 at St. Monica's Catholic Church with the Rev. Chris Coleman and the Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial followed in St. Monica's Cemetery. She was born March 12, 1922 in the Marak Community of Milam County to V.L. and Mary Frances (Sklenar) Zavrel. She married Frank Joe Hubnik, Sr. May 12, 1943. Hubnik was a homemaker and worked at Cameron and Colonial Nursing homes as a nurse's aide. She was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church and K.J.Z.T. She was preceded in death by her son, Frankie Joe Hubnik, Jr.; great-grandson, Christopher Joe Seth Ferguson; brothers, Joe, Ladis, Frank and Louis Zavrel; sisters, Matilda Rozner and Frances Zavrel and son-in-law, Robert Glaser, Jr. Survivors include her husband Frank Joe Hubnik, Sr. of Cameron; daughters, Georgie Ann Hubnik Glaser of Henderson; Caroline Hubnik Gelner and husband, Billy, Rosalie Hubnik Kostroun and husband, Tommy; Mary Frances Hubnik Vansa and husband, Louis; and Barbara Hubnik Vansa and husband, Richard, all of Cameron; sisters, Sr. Genevieve Zavrel of Victoria and Annie Mae Jochec of Marak; daughter-in-law, Marcella Hubnik of Cameron; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
