Mrs. Braden died Wednesday, June 24, in a Temple hospital. She was a child care provider. She was born Oct. 6, 1909, in Cameron to Henry and Mary (Horak) Matula. She married W.E. “Speedy” Braden and he preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. Braden lived in Cameron all of her life and spent the last 14 years at Winnie L. Nursing Facility. She was a “second mom” to many youngsters in Cameron and enjoyed those relationships with the different families she served. Survivors include two sons, Wesley Braden of Austin and Bartley Braden of Bryan/College Station; also, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
