Calvin Springer of Rockdale Full Gospel Chapel officiating. Mr. Bitner died Thursday at Scott & White Hospital, Temple. He was a Minerva resident. He was born Oct. 2, 1940 in Denver, CO to Mr. and Mrs. Pat (Mary A. Fisher) Bitner. He was employed in band instrument repair as a musical technician. Mr. Bitner and Anna June Martinez were married June 27, 1963 in Pueblo, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister. Survivors include his wife June Bitner of Minerva; sons and daughter-in-law, William Tell and Trish Bitner of Cameron and Nathan Eugene Bitner of Minerva; a daughter and son-in-law Anita Marie and Henry Locklin of Minerva; five brothers Joe Bitner of Palestsine, Bob Bitner of Joplin, Missouri, Danni Bitner of Pueblo, CO, Ted Bitner of Pueblo, CO and Jackie Bitner of Las Animas, CO; also two grandchildren. Mr. Bitner had a reputation as a top repairman. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. He was a former Colorado State wrestling champion.
