Funeral services were held June 17 in the chapel of Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home with Dr. Adrian Coleman officiating. Burial followed in Woodland Cemetery. Wimberly was born Oct. 8, 1912 in the Briary Community to James A. and Allie (Mosley) Sullivan. She was a retired sales representative for the Dietz Memorial Company in Waco where she began her career at the age of 65. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rosebud and a member of the Eastern Star in Rosebud for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Victor Vaughan Sullivan in 1939; son, Ronald Wimberly in 1934; step-mother, Theresa James Sullivan in 1968 and her husband, John Perry Wimberly in 1970. Survivors include daughter, Patricia "Pat" Runcie and husband, Steve, of Cameron; granddaughter, Cynthia Bras of Roanoke; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Whitney Bras of Roanoke and her beloved cat "Barney."
