Jack Chelf of First Baptist Church in Rockdale officiating. Burial was in IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale. A lifelong resident of Milam County, Mrs. Luckey spent most of her life in Rockdale. She was born April 27, 1917, near Cameron to Albert and Allie (Canter) Whiteley. She married Lee Luckey on Sept. 14, 1942, in Rockdale. Mrs. Luckey was a homemaker and loved her church and family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockdale. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Henry “Buck” Whiteley; a sister, Marie Shetler; a half-brother, Otto Whiteley; and two half-sisters, Sue Kelley and Edith Lyles. Survivors are her husband, Lee Luckey of Rockdale, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Billy Bob Farr, William Stork, Billy Ray Wallace, Jim Clyde Wallace, Brady Nelson, Jr. and Mike Scott Whiteley.
