She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved gardening and cooking. Elaine was a dedicated volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Church and Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Mike Kurz and Sister Joyce Buck. Elaine is survived by her loving daughter Cathy Winkler; Grandchildren Mark Winkler and wife Kim, Craig Winkler; great-grandchildren, Joey, Riley, and Christy Winkler; Sisters, Goldie Dutschmann, Alice Paulos and husband Vic; brother Elden Dutschmann and wife Corrine; Brother-in-law Herb Buck, numerous nieces and nephews, along with other much loved relatives and friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Avenue, Houston, Texas 77007.
