He is preceded in death by his wife Velma Lueene Brown Nov. 16, 1981 and by his parents. He is survived by a son, W. A. She married Earnest Vaughn Broome April 30,1927 in Jasper, AL. Mr. Broome died in June 1973. Mrs. Broome was baptized in Huntsville, AL at age 10. She had been a member of the Murray Street Church of Christ since 1974. She moved to Pasadena, Texas in May 1995. Mrs. Broome graduated from Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth, in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She taught in Vietnam in 1966 in a Christian missionary school She later taught at the Fort Worth Christian School and retired in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers, William, Flavil, and Austin Jenkins. Survivors include three daughters, Anne Elizabeth Rice and husband Tom of Pearland, Christine Waters and husband Kenneth of Rockdale and Mary Louise Shugart and husband Joe of Pasadena; one son, Dr. Lesunda Eugene Broome and wife Sue of Plano; one sister, Lorena Burke of Athens, AL; 15 grandchildren, also, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Brockenbush in 1987; and a brother, Hubert Seelke. She is survived by a son, Charles Brockenbush of Lexington; a daughter Mary Alice Poe of Canyon Lake; and six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
