(3) Sarah Jane Blanchet b. Jan 1882, Georgia married abt Jan 1902 in Milam Co., Texas, to Moses M Burkeen b. abt 1878, Texas. (4) Margy Blanchet b. Jan 1884, Texas, married Charlie Gene Smith on Jul 1902 in Milam Co., Texas. They had son Leonard Gibb (Gene) Smith. (5) Leonard Blanchett b. Mar 1893, Texas, married abt 1920 to Ethel Grisham b. abt 1897, Texas. I have listed the spelling of the last name as it appears in the various records; I don't know what spelling the family actually used. The daughter I have as Margy appears to be your grandmother. His death wasAug 3 1927.. (Death certificate no. is 10664 Vol.2 Pg. 73) The certifcate says he was buried in the Thorndale City Cemetery. No info on Mary as she must have died in another county but she is there also.

Thank you for your reply. I was actually able to get in contact with Delores (who is the older sister of Rudy) in 2005. She had little information for me except that Rudy's daughter was in Denmark at the time and in contact with a descendent of the family that stayed in Denmark. This Bendixen descendent (through Rudy's daughter) was able to fill in some blanks for me, however I have not been able to contact the daughter for some time. I would appreciate any email or addresses you might have....maybe someone in the family might be interested in what I have found-which is quite alot. Thank you again....Randa

Mrs. Nettles owned and operated Audrey’s Cafe in Lexington from 1942-1948. She and her husband ran the cafe at the Lexington Livestock Commission from 1961-1968. She was employed in the cafeteria at Lexington ISD from 1968-1975. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on Feb. 3, 2006; daughter, Carrie Rosalyn Nettles; grandson, Darvin “Chip” Nettles, Jr.; three sisters, Ruth Story, Orene Shelton and Lucille Williams; brother, Ernest Guthrie.
