West said D. C. Drummond, Jr. was found about 3 p.m. by his wife, Yvonne, partially in a stock tank across FM 487 from their home northwest of Rockdale near the Tracy community. “He had left about 12:30 p.m. to go fishing,” West said. “He had on waist-high rubber waders and was carrying a float tube.” West said Drummond liked to float in the tank and fish. “We’re not sure if he even made it out there very far into the tank, or got out there and came back to the shore,” West said. West said Drummond was found partially in the water. “He was about half in, but his head and shoulders were not in the water and we just don’t think he drowned,” the sheriff said. Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Chip Dunsmoor pronounced Drummond dead at the scene.
