Family committal of cremains will be in the Ulysses, Kansas Cemetery. She died Friday morning, Aug. 23, 2002 at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. The daughter of Otis Glen and Grace (Foster) Bowen, she was born Aug. 24, 1937 in Caney, KS. She was married to Alfred D. Arellano. Mrs. Arellano was a homemaker and had been a resident of Guymon, OK for the past 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Rosetta Peterson. Surviving are: Six children, Daniel Arellano of Guymon, OK, Rhonda and her husband, Larry Middleton of Rockdale, Ronald Arellano and his wife Stephanie of Atlanta, GA, Cheri Serna of Goodwell, OK, Patricia and her husband Kevin Deering of Guymon, OK and Thomas Arellano of Ulysses, KS; 11 grandchildren and three sisters, Mavis McDowell of Pampa, Betty Egan of Bartlesville, OK and Sandra Maris of Ulysses, KS. Memorial for family use will be accepted at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P. O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.

Falke, 74, of Thorndale died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, in a Temple health care facility. A lifetime resident of the Thorndale/Detmold community, she was born April 18, 1928, in Detmold. As a devoted wife and mother, she took special joy in caring for her family and nurturing her two children and six grandchildren on her family farm. Mrs. Falke was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale where she sang for many years in the choir and participated in various church and school activities. A gifted vocalist, she delighted many people with "The Lord’s Prayer" and other spiritual songs at weddings and special occasions. Mrs. Falke had been employed in secretarial work with Texas Utilities Services and Taylor Bedding. Her hobbies included oil painting, rose gardening and caring for the farm she shared with her husband. Preceding her in death were her mother and father, Olga and Charles Richter, an infant brother and an infant grandson, Trenton R. Falke. Survivors are her husband, Edwin Falke of Thorndale; a son, Dr. Mark Falke and wife Julie of Thorndale; a daughter, Lynne Hook and husband Wesley of Austin; and six grandchildren, Easton, Austin and Landon Falke and Jenna, James and Leah Hook. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale with Rev. James Mann officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to "Our Forever Family Fund" at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Thorndale.

Mrs. Davidson had worked with Thiokol Ammunitions Plant in Karnack for 27 years before retiring in June 30, 1994, and she was a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband. Survivors are two daughters, Dixie Davidson Waldrop and husband Joe A. Waldrop II of Milano, and Scherry Jones and husband James "Shorty" Jones of Fair Play; a brother, John R. Bedell and wife Bonnie of Bay City, MI; two grandchildren, Samantha and Ethan Jones of Fair Play; a great-aunt, Grace Finkbeiner of Bay City, MI; an uncle, Ray Bedell of Bay City, MI; and a niece and nephew, Pam and Brian Bedell, both of Bay City, MI.

(Dick) Hairston, who was county commissioner for many years. Mrs. Hairston was an active member of the First Baptist church, she had lived here about 41 years. She was the mother of Harvey Hairston of Dallas; Loy Hairston, deceased; and Mrs. Cecil Grabener of Rockdale. Surviving also are four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Cook of Rockdale. Funeral services for Mrs. Hairston were held at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon from Phillips & Luckey Chapel, conducted by Rev. J. N. Foreman of First Baptist Church. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
