E. F. McIver (deceased), died at 4:50 o’clock Tuesday morning at his mother’s home after a long illness of la grippe contracted while attending the Dental College in Atlanta, GA last year. He was born at Union Springs, AL on March 17, 1874 and moved to Cameron with his parents in 1883. He joined the Presbyterian Church on March 30, 1888 and was 26 years, 11 months and 2 days old at the time of his death. Rev. C. W. Weaver held funeral services in the Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. yesterday and he was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The jury in the case failed to agree and the case was transferred to another district court for trial. The jury stood 11 for death and one for life imprisonment.
