Stanley was living in Milam County in the 1900 census. His family moved to Jackson County Oklahoma by the 1910 census and his wife Dora Stanley was listed as a widow. Although I cannot be sure he may have died and been buried in Milam County. I would sincerely appreciate a lookup to see if he is buried in a Milam County cemetery. He was listed as Philander J. Stanley in the 1900 census but I've seen documents where he signed as P. J. Stanley.

If anyone knows anything about Sally Lumpkins, I'd love to hear from you. Tommie Lumpkin(s) was his g-grandmother. She married Andrew Jackson HOPKINS, whose family was in Milam Co. in 1900. His mother was Delaney K. Smith Hopkins and she was listed in 1900 as either Mrs. D. C. Hopkins or Mr. D. K. Hopkins. That makes me think that maybe my son-in-law's Lumpkin(s) came from Milam Co., too. (The Hopkins family came from Tippah Co., MS.) A. J. Hopkins moved to Ellis Co. and then to Kaufman Co., and finally to Callahan Co. Tommie Lumpkin(s) Hopkins died about 1916. In 1900, she, along with brother Jack and sister Birdy, were living with their cousin James Bookout in Ellis Co. In 1910, she was living with her sister, Birdie Lumpkin Cook and Birdie's husband, Wade L. Cook, in Ellis Co. Tommie died between 1910 and 1920, when her daughter, Jewell Hopkins, was about 3 years old. Jewell was born 20 Jan 1913. If anyone can help me on the family, I would be so grateful.
