I just viewed the 1920 Census for McClennen Co. and found a Spivey there. I was wondering if anyone might know something about this family. I think this may be my great grandfather's 1/2 brother. HH#110/103 Spivey Luther, age 36m head of household was renting the house he lived in. States he was born in GA, father b. GA, mother b. GA. Wife's name I cannot make out at all, but she is 25 yoa, b. TX, father b. KY, mother b. TN. Children listed here are: Edgar, 7 yoa, b. TX J. T. 4 yoa, b. TX Juanita, 2 yoa, b. TX It states that Luther was a Foreman for "Section RR", not sure what that means but it sounds like something that has to do with the railroad. I don't know what railroad he would have been working for at that time. I went into the McLennen web site but did not find anything except 1 obit that had to do with a Spivey. Can anyone help in reference to where I can find prior census's that might show if he was there and who was in his family? (I was looking in Texas to see why my great grandfather and his wife left TN aft 1894 and before 1896, then after they had a son there (in 1896) they returned to TN and had more children. My great grandfather's brother, Luther was b. aft 1883, bef. 1886 and I think that maybe my g gfthr came to see him and that's he came to be in TX.) Thank you. Linda
